Imagery and visualization techniques can help relieve pain and be used as an aid for alleviating stress, anxiety, and other forms of tension. Visualization uses the imagination to create particular states of mind and being. Guided imagery is a way to refocus the mind and use the imagination to relax and create peaceful thoughts.
General class information:
• Eat lightly at least 2 hours before class
• Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes
• You may want to bring a small pillow, shawl, or light blanket, and water
